Building a compassionate community

Animal Ally Programboxer_puppy

Every day, 365 days a year, Tails cares for as many as 125 animals in our shelter. Our network of foster families is caring for another 150+ vulnerable animals better suited in a home environment. Since 1999, Tails has been a safe haven for tens of thousands of animals. None of this is possible without YOUR support.

The Animal Ally Program is our sustaining membership program. You choose from one of the giving levels below (or choose your own) and we’ll automatically charge your credit card each month until you tell us to stop. Each January, you’ll receive an annual statement for tax purposes. You can change your monthly amount or cancel at anytime by contact us at 815-758-2457 ext. 111.

As a member, your name will be recognized on one of our animal enclosures and you’ll receive periodic emails highlighting the animal currently residing there. It’s the most effective way to support Tails year round and see the impact of your giving.

Announcements

Clear The Shelter

Tails will be participating in our 3rd annual clear the shelter event. On August 19th from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, all adult animals (6 months and older) will have their adoption fee waived!

QUICK TIPS FOR CLEAR THE SHELTER:

-If you rent, please bring your signed lease with your current address that matches your current ID. The lease must state you have landlord approval for a pet.
-If you're adopting a pet into a family, please bring your family, not just one person representing the family.
-Many of our dogs available will require a meet and greet with current dogs in the home. Please plan to bring your dog or complete meet and greets earlier in the week
-The line starts early outside of Tails. Please plan ahead accordingly and assume there will be a waiting period outdoors.
